OHS kicked off finals week with doughnuts waiting for students as they arrived to school yesterday.

Such great performances tonight by the OHS Choir, Band, KnightSounds Jazz Band, and Syncopation Vocal Jazz Ensemble at their Winter Festival. Shout out to Ms. Heiberger and Ms. McCullough for putting together a great show! Great job everyone!
OHS Student Council collected toys to support both QC Toys for Tots and the Orion Christmas for Kids programs. They were assisted in their efforts by the OHS National Honor Society who raised $2400 through their Bingo Night on November 22nd. Thanks to the support of the Orion community and the efforts by Student Council and NHS, eleven Toys for Tots collection boxes were completely filled through donations.

Tomorrow's OHS Girls Basketball game vs Monmouth-Roseville will now just be a varsity only game! The start time has changed and will now be at 6pm.
The OHS F/S Boys Basketball team participated in the Warkins Invite this past weekend and got themselves to the Championship game on Monday night. The Chargers brought home some 1st Place hardware. Congratulations guys and keep up the great work!

The Chargers vs. Everybody T-Shirts are in!! If you purchased one of these shirts they are available for pick up in the OHS main office. The office is open until 4pm each day.
The future of the Orion Girls Basketball from 1st-7th Grade was recognized tonight in between our home JV and Varsity games! The future looks bright for our Chargers!
Go walking (or running) in a winter wonderland and join the OHS National Honor Society as they host a Christmas Sweater 5K. This fun event will be held Saturday, December 14 @ 7:30AM on the OHS Track. The entry fee is $20 with all registrations being walkup at starting at 7AM. Wear your favorite ugly sweater, listen to some Christmas music and enjoy the event as funds raised will be donated to Humility Homes (a program that provides housing opportunities for the homeless in the greater Quad City area.).
Thanksgiving week was a success for the Orion Charger Boys Basketball program. Thank you to everyone who came out this week for our own Orion 10&32 Tip Off Classic! Varsity finished up 3-1 placing 2nd and for the Sophomore and Freshman it was a fun Saturday as they battled each other in the Championship game! Sophomores pulled off the win but definitely a great game played by everyone! Congrats to Kyler Owens for All-Tournament Team selection. Keep up the great support all season long!

Reminder - NHS BINGO Night and Soup Supper! - Friday, November 22nd @ 6:00 PM with doors opening at 5:30 PM. Please join Orion's National Honor Society in raising funds for Toys for Tots. This is a family-friendly event located in the Commons at Orion High School, so feel free to bring the kids. Cost is $10/player.

There are 3 different shows starting Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 7pm, and a matinee Sunday at 1pm. Admission cost for students is $5 and adults is $10. Hope to see you at a show!

Come cheer on the Orion Chargers tomorrow as they head to Bureau Valley High School for the IHSA 2A Volleyball Sectionals! The Chargers play at 6pm vs. El Paso- Gridley. Again you can purchase tickets ahead of time through GoFan which the link and QR Code is listed below. Doors will open at 5pm. ALSO the Chargers will be lead out of town by fire truck. They will leave from the High School at 3:45pm, travel down 11th Avenue to the stop sign, turn left in front of the Bank where they will take a quick photo. They will then travel back down 12th Avenue in front of Central Park, OMS and then head out of town! If you can't make the game come cheer on the Chargers as they head out of town!
