Unfortunately due to Fulton needing to make up a conference game tomorrow's softball baseball games have been cancelled.
Several OHS students attended the Eastern Iowa - Build My Future - Career Trades Show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa today. Students were able to have hands-on experiences in a number of the trades including: plumbing, electrical, concrete, carpentry framing, iron work, roofing, trucking driving, heavy equipment operator and many more.
Today we honored two student athletes not only continuing their education but also going on to do and play the sport they love! Olivia Thomsen will be attending UIS (University of Illinois Springfield) to continue running in Cross Country and Track. And Gus Nedved will be attending St. Ambrose University to play basketball! Congratulations to both Olivia and Gus and we wish you the best of luck these next four years!
Unfortunately due to M-R baseball having low numbers and a few athletes going home sick today they will not be able to play tonight's JV game. We will just be playing Varsity at 4:30. We will do Senior night before at around 4:20!
With the 178th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft the Pittsburgh Steelers select DE Logan Lee from the University of Iowa and.... Orion High School! Congrats Logan! Lots of new Steeler fans in Orion starting today.

The OHS chapter of the Grey Matters Collective installed a picture montage in the OHS Commons. Pictures include uplifting messages to promote mental health.
With the chance of severe storms later this afternoon/evening, we have canceled all sports events tonight. Baseball and softball at Erie-Prophetstown new make-up date will be Friday April 26th. Girls soccer vs. Macomb is TBD!
Tuesday's last home Track Meet has CHANGED! With the chances of thunderstorms on Tuesday we have moved this meet to Monday evening. Field events will start at 4pm.
Finally! We have some sun shining and a decent day as we host our first home Track meet tonight! We will be honoring our 9 seniors tonight as well! If you have nothing to do tonight come out and support our track athletes! Field events will start at 4pm and running events will start around 5:15pm!

Mr. Lister and Mrs. Rentfro-Cline took a group of OHS students to the Get Lit(erature) event at WIU-QC today. They toured some classes, watched a panel of college students talking about their college experiences, and, most importantly, submitted and shared writing and artwork showcasing the varied yet common human experience.
All of tonight's events which included... Track at E-P, Baseball at Ridgewood, and Softball home vs. United, have all been cancelled. Mother Nature strikes again... Makeup dates are TBD!
