At the request of the American Legion Color Guard, OHS will be using a new Homecoming Parade route starting this fall. This route will match the 4th of July Festival Parade with the parade starting and ending at OHS. The Homecoming Parade will take place on September 26th at 5pm followed by the Homecoming Dinner at 5:30pm and the Homecoming Assembly at 6:30pm.
Orion High School will again be live streaming all basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling home games this school year on the NFHS Network. New this year is the addition of Orion Middle School games with the installation of a camera at OMS.
On October 22, the Orion High School Volleyball Team will be hosting the “Knights of Honor” community service project. The volleyball team will honor veterans and first responders for their selfless service to our community and the nation as a whole. All proceeds from this event will be given to the QC Honor Flight. Tonight's Cross Country Invite, Boys Golf meet and Soccer games have been postponed due to pending weather! Cross Country will be running tomorrow now in Rock Falls. Golf meet will now be on Sept 16th and Soccer reschedule date is TBD right at the moment.

Potential SCAM ALERT!!! The school district been made aware of a scam where our student/athletes receive a text message asking them to join their team's "NIL Club" in fundraising for the school/team. When the athlete follows the link and enters their information, it creates a fundraising page and then texts that link out to everyone in their contacts asking for donations.
While some of our programs have used online/text messaging fundraising it has been through a company by the name of Leading Edge or Launch fundraising. Any contact through "NIL Club" is not sponsored by an Orion School District program. Please do not click on any links from "NIL Club" as an athlete or a supporter.
We are excited that school starts this week in the Orion School District! Backpack Night takes place at C.R. Hanna and OMS Monday night, with school starting on Tuesday at all three buildings. Let's Go Chargers! Go Big Red!
New vinyl door wraps were installed on the main gym doors today thanks to the generosity of the classes of 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. A special thank you to Daniel Cline who donated his time to create the graphic design.
