Tomorrow night, Friday, March 14th is the 25th Annual OEF Gala “Rock of Ages - Silver Celebration” at the Camden Centre in Milan, IL starting at 6pm. Join the Orion Educational Foundation for a great night celebrating and supporting Orion students. Tickets can be bought at the door and entry covers your meal as well as the Dueling Pianos show. Go walking (or running) to kick of your St. Patrick's Day Weekend! Join the OHS National Honor Society as they host a St. Patrick's Day 5K. This fun event will be held Saturday, March 15 @ 8AM on the OHS Track. The entry fee is $20 with all registrations being walkup and starting at 7:30AM. Wear your favorite St. Patrick's Day Family Friendly Attire. Snacks and drinks will be available for both participants and non-participants. Funds raised will be donated to Humility Homes (a program that provides housing opportunities for the homeless in the greater Quad City area.).


Congratulations to the OMS 8th grade Scholastic Bowl team who won the 2025 Prairieland Conference Scholastic Bowl Tournament. Team members include: Finn Burnham, Wyatt Butler, Drew DeBaillie, Jaxon Ferry, Grace Lilly, Walker Mason, Collin Patterson, Leo Nedved, Dylan Versluys and Harrison Wright.
It was a clean sweep as the 7th grade team also won but escaped before a large group picture could be taken.

OHS JV and Varsity Scholastic Bowl ended our regular season Thursday night with a players vs parents match. We are happy to report, that despite a close match, the parents won!



8th Grade students visited Circa 21 today. Circa hosts several programs which discuss professions within the Arts. Students also watched Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.
6th and 7th graders were treated to a performance by Morgan Myles. Ms. Morgan has a successful singing career and was a contestant on The Voice.

Kindergarten Registration for the Fall of 2025 will be held at CR Hanna Elementary School on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Senior Spotlight of the Day


We are just over two weeks away from the Orion Drama Department's premier of the Wizard of Oz. Join us February 28th or March 1st at 7pm or for a matinee performance on March 2nd at 2pm. Make sure to not miss the OHS performance because, "There is no place like home!"


The School District will have an e Learning Day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, due to the Winter Weather Warning. All after school activities will also be canceled on Wednesday.
