Dear Parents: Just before the school bells sounded this morning, we received a Tornado Warning alert. At that time, we made the decision to follow our Severe Weather Procedure. Each building encouraged students, parents, and staff to come into the building and stay in the designated areas. The students on the buses were exited from the bus at the closest school. Staff from CR Hanna were sent to OMS and OHS to work with the younger students. Once the alert was cleared around 8:30 AM, the students were sent by bus back to their home schools. Classes resumed. The students, staff, and parents did a great job responding to the situation. We would like to thank you for entrusting your students to us each and every day. We hope you have a great Memorial Day Weekend. Orion CUSD #223 Administration

Unfortunately tonight's baseball games have been canceled. BOTH Varsity and JV will still be practicing after school today as they will be playing an inter squad game against each other!

Unfortunately softball has been cancelled tonight as well. This game will NOT be made up!

Due to Morrison's baseball field not being playable, tonight's BASEBALL game ONLY has been cancelled. This game will for sure be made up tomorrow. If Morrison can get umpires it will be at Morrison. Otherwise if they cannot Orion has umpires line up already and we will have the games here!

Congratulations to Orion FFA members, Joseph Faulkner and Nick Shillington who recently signed scholarships to attend John Deere Tech.
