Please join us on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 for a little “Island Time.” Come dressed in your best Tropical shirt or beach attire to help cool you down during our current heat wave. We just ask the students not to wear swimsuits or bikinis. Let’s have a little fun in the sun as we enjoy the last weeks of summer heat before we start cooling down for Fall.

Mr. Lowe lost a bet to a student. The life-long White Sox fan has to wear a Chicago Cubs shirt on Friday, August 25, 2023. Let’s see how many Cub fans we have at CR Hanna.
August 17th is Picture Day at OHS! This also include the senior formal portrait that will be used for the yearbook and class composite.

Your child’s teacher has been assigned to TeacherEase. The quickest way to find the teacher information is to use the following steps:
1. Log into TeacherEase.
2. Select your student
3. Push the button labeled “Send Email” on the left hand side of the website
4. Select a recipient
5. The teacher’s name will appear under the list of “Teachers”.
Class lists will be posted on the website for a short period of time.
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors also have move-in dates!
Don't Forget! Freshman locker move-in Tuesday and Wednesday night!
KINDERGARTEN VISITS
Kindergarten students will be having individual conferences on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. All of the students will have the opportunity to come to school prior to the first day of class. They will meet their teacher, choose their desk, put their supplies away, and check out their new classroom.
Reminder that walk-in athletic physicals are available at OMS tomorrow from 4:30-6:30pm for Orion School District students.

Had the honor of spending one last day of "school" together with these seniors. They've come a long way in their four years at OHS and have a lot to be proud of. They ended their freshman year with the unknowns of Covid, went through two interesting years dealing with it affects and then flourished as seniors. Hope everyone can attend the graduation ceremony on Sunday at 1pm to celebrate! In the meantime enjoy some pictures from their senior trip.

It was a wonderful night honoring our students during the National Honor Society Induction and 11th Annual Academic Awards Nights. Additionally, over $65,000 was awarded in local scholarships by our generous community! We'll be posting more pictures later this week.
One final reminder that due to unexpected maintenance of the Central Park Bandshell, the 11th Annual Orion High School Academic Awards Night will be held in the main gym at OHS this evening.
We had a storyteller this afternoon as part of our Visiting Artist Series. CR Hanna Fifth Grade students performed the Snake Dance.
